From Frozen Rivers to the National Stage
Minnesota has long been at the heart of American curling, frozen rivers, community clubs, and generations of athletes have built one of the nation's strongest curling cultures there. From small-town sheets to Olympic competition, curling in Minnesota represents tradition, precision, sportsmanship, and community. Yet despite its deep roots and growing national momentum, the United States has never had a true headquarters dedicated to celebrating, training, and advancing the sport.
In the historic river town of Stillwater, that vision now has a home:

The Stillwater Area Curling Center will be far more than a training facility, it will be an immersive national destination celebrating one of America’s fastest-growing winter sports.
Plans envision a dynamic multi-use campus featuring championship curling sheets, interactive exhibits honoring the history of curling in the United States, athlete training and performance spaces, and community gathering areas. Visitors will experience the strategy, precision, and tradition of curling through hands-on activities, digital storytelling, and live competition. The destination will also include hospitality spaces, food and beverage experiences, youth development programming, and year-round events designed to bring together athletes, fans, families, and future Olympians in the true spirit of curling.
